Design Communicaton
A module for learning the fundamental communication skills of architectural designing. Engaging in visualisation and expression of spaces and spatial ideas through drawings.
01. Starchitect Poster
The first project for the module, it required me to design a poster about one of many given famous architects. I needed to conduct research on the architect's history, achievements and three of their buildings to compile into an A3 sized poster. My chosen architect was Frank Lloyd Wright, the famous American Architect, along with his buildings "Falling Water", the "ASU Gammage", and the "Rookery" Building. The design of my poster was inspired by the Frasurbane style of graphic designing, with the main element is centered in a bordered shape.
02. The Farnsworth House
This is the second project of Design Communication, which consisted of architectural drawings of the Farnsworth House designed by Mies Van Der Rohe. I was required to draw 3 types of drawing — four orthographics, one axonometric, and two perspectives.
03. Sensory and Space
The third and final project of the module, this one is inter-related to the final project of my Architectural Design 1 module. This is to prove that I was successful in applying the skills I've learned from Design Communication into my final project.

Reflection
Overall, I've learned a lot in this module. Especially in drawing much more technical pieces of work that studying architecture will require me to do which I did not know how to prior to these classes. It's taught me to look at the specifics of things much more closely, and to capture every dimensional detail of a building.
